CCG attends the Toyota Nationals 25-27 March 2016

Hey everyone, it is òn again, time for the annual pilgrimage to Dubbo for the Toyota Nationals car show over the Easter long weekend.

As usual we will meet up at the truck stop on the Barton Highway at Hall, at around 7:45am for an 8:00 am departure.

First stop Cowra Macca's and Shell servo for those that need to refuel on coffee or go go juice. The majority of the group especially those with trailers will be heading west out of Cowra onto the Lachlan Valley Way through to Parkes, then onto Dubbo via the Newell Highway. If you wish you can separate from the group and head to Canowindra/Molong/ Wellington and then into Dubbo, its about 15 k shorter that way but a lot more winding roads to negotiate.

Scheduled arrival at the Matilda for sometime after 1:00pm. with plenty of time to unload trailers and hook into making the cars presentable for the show and shine down at the Ollie Roberts Oval first thing Saturday morning. There is only one car wash at Dubbo now, it is located on the Newel near the railway viaduct..

You can not buy booze on Friday in Dubbo. I suggest you stock up on beverages a few days before we leave. You will look really silly sucking on an orange instead of a stubbie.

This is the 40th Anniversary of The Toyota Nationals and it is going to be HUGE.

Expect to drink heaps and talk a whole truck load of cars.

See you all bright and early Good Friday Morning 25 March at Hall 7:45 onward.
