    Default 2T Twin Carb Install

Sorry if this has been covered on here previously -

I am about to fit up twin side draught's to a 2T engine.

Is there any recommendations on changing the Dizzy to an electronic dizzy and deleting the vacumm advance, or will the vacumm advance still work?

I know the advantages of going to an electronic dizzy - but is it necessary?

The car will not be used at high revs and it is more for sound and a sportier looking engine bay... This is simply because I have a manifold and carbies sitting around doing nothing.....

Eventually the car will go to a 4AGE or 3SGE....But that is a while down the track with 2 other cars to finish before that happens...

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Cheers Matt

Has the engine had any other mods? Usually you don't need vac advance, but, you need to advance static timing slightly about 2 or 3 degrees and restrict the total advance about same amount, using piece of hard tube over stop in dissy. Other than that points are fine, the electronic dissy conversion listed on forum is a good conversion, can't find link at moment thou.

No other mods, Just extractors and exhaust.

I have seen and looked at the conversion thread.....I didn't think it would be too much of a problem with the vac advance.

But as you say, I may just block it off and advance the timing a bit.
