Getting the tyres this week, luckily the bloke is not too far up that miserable freeway lol
Considering I destroyed the last motor due to oil related problems, decided to buy a decent oil pressure gauge

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171234913...84.m1497.l2649

The beauty of this one (aside from doing both oil temp and pressure) is that I can zip tie my small laptop somewhere and log data over a few laps which is a billion times better than trying to keep an eye on a small gauge to see if the pressure seems to dip mid corner etc

I'm curious to see how the tyres go.
I thought about them, but I don't need them at the mo & need to save for other things this year.

Picked them up today, they look pretty good to me.
Lot of marbles but still heaps of tread left.

Yeah i've clearly not been around enough lately - saw your entry for Cooma only just after i figured out something more serious had happened to that motor. Good to see you're back, 2 years is a long time.

Will PM you the new details; mobile number has changed too.

I've been driving a Cressida for over a year, I'm well rusty when it comes to things that turn!
Aiming to match what I did last time with a view of knocking a second off, looking for 1:14's............ wont have any excuses if that doesn't happen though!

Anyway, car is coming along well.
New gauges are installed, oil cooler hoses have been replaced and I'll be getting the V70A's fitted tomorrow.
Have some hose for the head drain and I'll fix the front lip tomorrow.

Have had some blueslip issues but fingers crossed this week it happens

I've got 2 R888's you can have, plenty of tread but they are 2 years old, assuming you need 205/50/15's.

i have my slicks which i want to use as they are getting a bit long in the tooth now. but still need track wheels to put em on.

probably wont have the 86 by the time the next trackday comes around anyway, so may as well have one more go in it. if i have enough fun i might decide to keep it?

for the 86? gay offsets. i think I can go down to about +35 on stock guards from what i've read. The adub on stock guards will take anything down to about +25 (haven't fitted my widebody guards to the new shell yet)

either way unless you're offering me free shit I can't afford it

Not that they wouldn't be much better than the 86 stock wheels, but I have 4x bridgestone RE050A's on 17x7 rims from my soobie. 3 are perfectly road legal, fourth has massive camber wear and thread showing, but might survive one track day.

If you wanna burn them on your 86, be my guest. Catch is you'll just need to get them from Canberra yourself.
I'll want the rims back afterwards though
