    Default 18 RG Distributor

Hi have just completed rebuild of an 18 RG and discovered at the end that the distributor housing is damaged. Are the 18 RG and 18 R/RC distributors interchangeable? Advice appreciated

Yes, but have different timing curves.
    JZX83+ FMIC+ Twin 2.5" dumps to 3"+ FCD+ 2800rpm stallie+ 14psi - LSD - good tyres = 12.85 @105.58

Ok thanks. I'm weak on electrics but presume that an Auto electrician could make suitable swap/adjustments?

Not really an auto elec job that one.. more a specialist in ignition systems and distributors.

We have a good place down here in Melbourne - http://www.performanceignition.com.au/

They can make you a brand new Bosch distributor for your 18RG if you want - that is what I did with mine. For not a lot of $$ in the scheme of things.
