    Default RA28 fuel tank options.

I was wondering if anyone can suggest what EFI car might have the fuel tank that'll fit my celica. I should point out that the wheel well is mostly gone it was rusty so I got it cut out, the top inch or so was left for strength and it's been plated up.

My fuel tank has a huge dent in it and im not keen to try and fix it, plus I'll need an efi tank in there eventually anyway.

Any suggestions? I'm planning on going to pick a part in a few weeks, if I need to spend the whole day checking every car then so be it, but I wouldn't mind knowing where to start.

    Thanks in advance.

    J.

I went to look at a RA28 that had a Rover 3.5L V8 in it, and the guy had put a commodore tank in it? I want to say VN, but not sure.

Cool thanks Matt, I was thinking VL or VN/VP, plenty of them around too. Did that one have the wheel well cut out?

I have done this mod along with a few others on this site... as far as a whole tank swap, no idea.

but I fitted a VE GTS V8 Fuel pump into my RA28 tank... needed some modification work but it is possible. have a look at the pics.

havnt run it yet, but its been done...

Thanks for the tip but my tank is rooted so it's gotta go unfortunately. Did you install a swirl pod too?

No swirl pot, I am going to run this as my main pump... if I need to step up to a surge tank and external pump I will but the pump feed sits very low in the RA28 tank and I cannot see it being a problem but can always upgrade
