Default suspension setup for track racing

I am having to setup the fxgt for the certification. Terra once told me his setup for his GT-Z but have long since forgotten it. But would like to know what others are running.

Suspension is mrp coilovers, ae111 brakes front and back, rear sway bar and soon halfcage.

What toe/camber setup are people using??

    I am using

    Front
    2 degrees neg camber
    5 degrees caster
    0 toe

    Rear
    3 degrees neg camber
    0 toe

I would like more front caster, so have to do some more work. It turns in pretty well now.

if you are serious about racing, i'd remove the mrp coilovers.. they are junk.

MCA / fortune auto would be my choices.

I would keep the Mrp coilovers. How did your alignment come up? Barrys roll centre adjusters would work well. A set of high performance tyres would help a lot.

In the end we went with 1 degree toe out total in the rear, with 2.5o camber front and rear. Its twitchy as hell driving down the road and doesnt want to keep straight and tire wear is bad BUT it turns very quickly.

I would take the back toe toe zero. You also need to find out your front caster. If you don't have enough then the car can feel very twitchy on steering. Added caster helps recentering the steering. It also adds some negative camber into wheel whilst steering.

As above......I definitely think you need more castor at the front to remove some of that twitchiness. You can still get it to turn in well without being unstable in straight line speed.

For proper track use they are horrible. Twitchy / crap.

Why is that? It all depends on what the driver likes and the type of tyres they are running. Twitchy might ultimately be faster but can it be driven well with other cars in the track at the same time?
