    Default W58 Into ra23 celica

    Hello all,

I was wondering if a wa58 is a direct bolt in to a ra23 celica? I know the bellhousing bolts up directly but does it mount in the same places? Also is the shifter in the same position?

    Thanks

The W58 comes with several shifter positions. Sooo it depends on which one you have. Take a tape measure to it

why are you upgrading if you are keeping your 18r? im pretty sure they use the same bolting locations, at least they look very close, i have both down stairs standing beside each other.
Looking for a new toy. If you have something 18r powered let me know.

The cross member mounting is a little further back on W5x series, very simple mod. Other than that if you get the 18" position selector housing they bolt straight in with the 22R bellhousing.

I was informed that the W58 was stronger than the W50 and the ratios are slightly more what I am after plus the whole transmission is a lot lighter.
