    Default 1JZGTE Reverse Light?

    Hello All,

Does anyone know where the wire is for the activation of the Reverse light for the 1JZGTE Automatics are? Also if you do, which plug/wire sends the signal and if it's a ground switch or a +12 volt switch into the cabin if any?

That would be great if anyone knows this off by hand...

    Cheers.

Red wire with a black trace. (1JZ loom)

Goes +12V with shifter in Reverse (and key ON)

Connect straight to wire that goes to reverse lights. Can't remember MA61 colour.

Which plug can I find that red w/black trace? There is a smaller grey coloured plug with that wire roughly in the middle... However i'm not measuring 12v from it

On the UZZ30 loom its an orange plug.
All 6 wires for the shifter (PRND2L) are on the one plug.

I found the orange plug, but that part of loom has been discarded. The A341e, does it have a reverse light switch in it? I only understand manual boxes or where could I source a switching point to mate with the ma61 part?

The reverse switch from the A341E comes from the shifter itself (the one on the side of the box).

If the neutral switch works then the reverse light works, as its on the same plug at the gbox end.

The orange plug on the UZZ30 loom has the oil, temp, tacho, CEL in it too, so if its the same as the 1JZ loom you are using (JZZ30 is basically the same as UZZ30) then you'd better not have discarded it.

The donor car was a JZX90. What wire is providing a 12v current from the battery to the selector switch and back through to the red with a black trace?

JZX90 = JZZ30 when it comes to the ecu, so I'd presume the loom is the same?

Power for reverse comes from Gauge fuse. Yellow wire.

Gauge fuse power goes to the loom via the yellow wire on the big grey plug.
