ratios aren't that bad, plus u have to remember the cars it comes equipped in have taller diff ratios and hence even out the shorter first and second gears.

Other way around.

Most W55 box'd cars come with 4.3 or 4.5 diffs.

So you get like 50 and 85 out of 1st/2nd, instead of 65 and 110 like W58 (and 3.73)

And then you get like 3100 @ 100kph instead of 2500 @ 100kph like you do with a W58


Its a lose/lose situation.

Most 1G's had W55's and 4.3 or 4.555

RA63 and TA63 both ran W55 with 4.1 ratio diff. Well the ones I've seen did anyway.
