    Default a340e mount the same as r154?

    hi just a q. fitting a a340e to my 180sx/240sx. just seen there is no readily available xmember to suit the a340e trans just seeing if the r154 has the same member etc. anyone know where i could find a xmember to suit a s13 chassis?

    Mount is the same, wont be in the same location as a R154 (20mm further forward for the A340E from memory).
    Your best off getting one made, transmission crossmember's are a walk in the park even if you suck with chopping and welding. Get a transmission crossmember and mount from a MX83 Cressida for $10 and mate it to the factory one in the 180SX.

    I'd go with what dneg suggests but if you're intent on a "buy and bolt in" there's a seller on eBay called ksracing who likes putting Toyota engines in different vehicles and producing kits. I use his bellhousings for 1UZ swaps and have no issues with the product or service so you could contact him or as has been said spend an hour or so with a MIG. So long as you keep the driveline angles correct there isn't anything to worry about
