TA40 with 2TG used an alloy split case T50 gearbox and the 18r bellhousing will not fit the 2TG.
If the 2TG you have has a front sump you will need the TA40 cross member which is the same as TA23, other than that, minimal changes required.
Hi folks.
I have just scored a 2t-geu with solex carbs which I am looking to sling in my RA40 . I know there can't be too much in it as they were produced with this engine fitted, but there are some differences I have noticed. If you can help with any pitfalls or things I need to modify and buy to make it a hassle free swap it would be greatly appreciated . Have a W 50 box and a 18rc fitted. Got 95% of the bits for the engine . No trottle linkage , extractors , choke? Fuel pump, air box. Cheers
