Default Big problem with ta22 3t turbo conversion

Well ive hit my first problem with this conversion and its a big one, the external wastgate on my setup hits the crossmember,

    this bit

    hits here

now cutting into the crossmember and getting it engineered is the last thing i wanna do, are there any other ways to get around this, i cant move the wastgate because that means id have to make another exhaust.

it came out of a ke20 so it obviously fits a ke20 crossmember, can a keXX xmember fit a ta22?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Cheers,
    Callum

Cut and shorten the runner to the waste?
Looks like you have an easy inch there to loose going off the photo.

Easy one, either shorten the piping or move the wastegate

yes i know but if i move the wastegate i have to make or heavily mod the exhaust i already have for it, the current one bolts onto both the turbo and the wastegate, which keeps it quiet.

As you have said i wouldnt touch the crossmember either, so going by the not so clear photo its either play with the exhaust & waste gate or maybe get another turbo with a inbuilt waste gate, but it wont just bolt up either ..

Meh it wouldn't have to be 'heavily modified' take it to an exhaust shop if you're not confident and say I want to shorten this and join these. Easy

LOL, your doing an engine conversion and concerned about doing a mild mod to the exhaust? KCCO bro, life is good, either chop it and weld it yourself, or bolt it all in with the gate off and get the exhaust modded by a good fabricator or any run of the mill exhuast shop

Shift wastegate upwards, blend outlet to dump via flex exhaust section?
