    Question 4agze compression ratio ?

Pretty new with the 4agze but I've recently finished putting one in my datsun 1200 ute just trying to find out if the compression ratio is 8.9:1 or 10:1 its a 7 rib block small port
I've googled to try find the info but keep finding the ratios I've mentioned

No worries, all 4AGZE's were 8.9:1 and from memory all the pistons are forged and ceramic coated but the AE101 varient might be a little different

bigport 4agze was 8:1 and was not ceramic coated. (aw11, ae92)
small port were 8.9:1 was ceramic coated and has oil squirters in the block.(late ae92-ae101)
i dont have a funny or cool signature.

Awesome I knew about the forged pistons but not about the ceramic coating
What power are they good for
I'm currently running sard 800cc injectors and a gt 28RS bb turbo front mount cooler msd coils autronic sm4 and autronic 500r CDI and straight through 3" exhaust
Might put a bigger turbo if this one runs out of puff

they are hypereutectic pistons, not "forged" but pretty dam strong.

they are good for around 300-400hp

Ah, thought that might of been the case but I'm still fairly sure they are all coated? Knew the later AE101 engines were a bit different.
But still, no 10:1 GZE slugs out there

Toyota hypereutectic pistons are a good thing, just like the 2JZ-GTE, 4A-GZE pistons will take a lot of stick. Think you start having issues with the blocks when you hit 300kW anyway lol

nah the 8:1's wernt. ive "read" and seen on some USA web sites they they got a version of the 8:1 with ceramic coated tops, but with all the 8:1 pistons ive seen here, they have never been coated. so ill call the coated 8:1 a rarity if any.
