quick question, you say it doesnt fit 7A sumps but if you were to fit a 4ag sump (16v or 20v) it will be fine?
TEC ARTS make a 4A sump to 7A block adapter, so if this is possible i would also be very keen.

Hey, the 7a sump doesnt fit as the ARP bolts will hit the rear of the sump before you can fully bolt it up.
You can either modifiy the sump by cutting holes where the arp studs stick out and then welding a section over it to clear.

The tec art thing is just a sump spacer so the windage tray clears the crank. Our girdle also acts like a sump spacer so the 4a windage tray clears the crank.

Fitting a 4a sump is the better option as there is no mucking around plus you get a windage tray. Where the 7a sump doesn't have any windage tray.

Hope that clears everything up for you.

What is the purpose of the 'cutouts' on the underside of the 'main cap areas' where the studs go through?

I assumed it's to allow room for the nuts to be torqued down on the bearing cap, then the girdle sits over these with it's own nut securing it to the main studs. Then the girdle would support the bearing cap rather than taking the whole load and potentially messing with torque settings etc... ????

Note: The picture is upside down. So turn that around and those pockets are for the main stud nuts and washers to sit into.
If the pockets are not there the studs would need to be even longer and would foul on the windage tray.

Sorry for the delay on these guys, have alot of 4age projects on at the moment.
I brought a new PC as i updated my CAD software which needed more power. Should have it up and running shortly to finish off the design and pump out a prototype in a few weeks!
