    Default JZS171 into Series 2 Mx83 - Mount Requirements

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to quickly ask / confirm that the information that i have is correct....

I'm putting the jzs171 into my mx83 series 2 cressida.

Mx83 Series 2 cross member is to be retained.

1jz/zs171 alloy mounts need to be swapped out with jzx81 mounts
mx83 ruber mounts can be used or jzx81 mounts

If anyone has a set of jzx81 alloy mounts they don't need until my new ones come from japan please send me a pm as I kinda need my car running by next weekend.

    Cheers
    Matt

i think you can use the rubber mounts from either mx83 or jzx81.

i have never seen a pair in one piece though, they have always been split in two.

i used noltec ls1 mountsfor a few years and found that these had separated also.

i now have a set from xessivemanufacturing and they seem really good.

i am able to retain the turbo support brackets that wouldnt fit with the toyota alloy mounts (the aft stock one fit but i needed to make up my own forward mount)

i have my old set of jzx81 mounts here but i wasnt planning to sell them until my car is running, make an offer if you are keen.

got any pics of the noltec ones that broke?

i hear there is a bloke on ebay with heaps sick mounts for these

+1 on never seeing intact rubber ones which is why we came up with the billet/poly ones which are pretty much unbreakable.
There is no substitute for PUBIC inches

    Never late in an x8
