Looking at doing an engine conversion and wanted to get some info about a transmission.

Wanting to buy just a long motor without transmission and run a t56 magnum behind the 2jz motor.

I just want to get some more info before buying some parts...

To use the Magnum box I would need an adapter plate, possibly buying the drawing from Ed and having it made somewhere. With that in mind, I need an automatic bellhousing. Clutch set up, something along the lines of what Manon Racing here on the forums offer but have to retain the ring gear from an automatic flexplate.

Is that it??

Also, in terms of a VVTi motor, am I limited to overall horse power with the inlet cam? I did notice that some companies make aftermarket cams to suits so I assume the answer would be no - pending supporting mods to the motor of course...
