    Hi,

RA25s have them... but then again, they have everything.

My S'Not Green 1973 TA-22 LT came with the dragon in the back of both headrests. I managed to keep both panels and have them stiched into the new trim and painted black from brown when I built the car.

Now did that GT above have the OEM GT headlining and window and door rubbers?

    Regards

I've got a july 72 made TA22 flatlight, with the spare wheel carried in an upright position in a well on the right hand side. This post reckons it should be LHS. Is the post incorrect on this or were there a mixture of LH and RH spare positions (eg, some floor pans mainly for US market, some for RH drive market?

I have about the same model too (02/72 i think) with the same spare wheel position, im curious to know if its not the common place?

Also i have a factory red interior with the dragon emblem embossed into the back, I didnt realise this was uncommon to have? and mine has the lighter coloured wood grain instrument cluster (sadly i ruined it a few years back) but I havent seen another with the light grain, is this also not too common?

    Cheers Josh

    Josh,

The Red interior was I believe only available on the flat lights, Id have to check my parts files to be sure. The light brown coloured paneling was also only on the early models and your spare is where it should be, the original content above was a typo. (the image should have made that clear ) I have edited it now to avoid confusion and remove the error.

Thanks for clearing that up Toyman.

Our Flatlight has an original interior but what a mixed bag of colours! Brown steering wheel cover, fake woodgrain panel set in the usual black dash, bone vinyl seats with dragon emblem on rear of the headrest and light blue fabric inserts on the front of the seats. Door trims are also bone vinyl with a band of dark grey carpet material along the bottom, matching the floor carpeting. All looks kind of quaint though. A red interior would be nice I would imagine.

    cheers

They did make some long nose TA22's though I think they were Japanese market only. Post up some pics and we can let you know what you have.

Or the bonnet could have been cut off of a 23/28 and re-molded onto the TA22 bonnet

If you mean hinged at the front - that's standard on the TA22.
