I verified from a couple of sources that 1ZZ and 2ZZ rods are 19.7 mm wide (big end) and 4AGE rods (since we're using 4AGE bearings) are 21.8 mm wide.

Just thought I'd share that info - that's going in the right direction I'm thinking - we will have a wider bearing than another Toyota engine with a similar stroke....

Wider bearings = more load capability

Thought about using the 1zz crank with custom rods & pistons but it would mean alot of mods to the block to make it fit nicely. Plus the extra stroke would bring the rod/stroke ratio down into the high 1.4X.

Any how we will have 2 light weight cranks done very soon. These have been done with knife edged counter weights. So shout out which crank you prefer!

The rest of the cranks will be the same as the TRD atlantic ones:

The TRD style ones were done as this would see less harmonics on the crank due to the large counter weight design. But of course will cause a bit more drag and take a little bit of power.

Seeing I am shooting for NA for a daily driver with as much low end torque as I can get, put me down for the TRD style one.

    wd
