anyone? . . . .
I have done alot of searching on threads that go no where or are not properly answered.
All i want to know is if i had myself an is200 and i ripped the 1g-fe out, do i just get myself some is300 engine block and rubber mounts will the 1JZ/2JZ bolt straight in or are there crossmember differences?
A simple answer would be appreciated
Thanks

i havn't done it myself but i reakon ull be on the money with the is300 mounts for the engine and you should be able to use the factory gearbox mount i reakon? i looked at doing it to my old one but desided not to in the end. i cant see it being much different to the jz cressida swap really as it has the jap version like the cressy has. g/l

Let me know if you want a set of mounts...
the ones off my jzs171 (2002 - crown athelete v engine) have the same part number as the link above...
The IS200 & IS300 had different engine cross members.
Easiest way is to source an IS300 one and you can definitely use the IS300 mounts (2JZ-GE) with the JZ engines.
Apart from that, you're up for some fabrication work maybe.
IS200 and IS300 had the same actually engine cross member (comparing by eye, my IS300, mates IS200 side by side). The actually mounts are completely different. From what I have read you use the intake side of the IS300 and the exhaust side of a JZS161 Aristo. Or it could be the other way around not 100% sure
NFI about gearbox mounts
looks like you're correct on the cross member.
Just did a part number search on my EPC.
Only 2 different ones: RWD or AWD
I thought the Altezza I chopped looked like the same cross member......
I will be looking into doing a VVTi 2JZGTE from a JZS161 swap like BrainRA23 is doing now.
slightly off: I wonder guys why you go for JZ series? Any reason not to put a vvti 1UZ instead? Doesn't it look better with its lower weight and 5spd auto?

Engine conversion is when you drive a shitbox which costs a whole LEXUS to own
The one on the inlet side of the JZS161 is correct, but you will need the exhaust side mount from the IS300. Some have made their own mounts to push the engine further back, but there is little to no room for that and then you (may) have to get your custom mounts approved for engineering compliance purposes if you are going to register it.
I have two sets of the engine mounts (2 left and 2 right) to put the JZ engine into the IS200, plus one set of rubber isolators. Make me an offer.
