ok, a bit of aside, but the people in the know will be in this thread.
Got my replace front & rear rotors today, along with the front pads.

Now considering I've got new front pads & new rotors, I need to figure a way to bed them in because the car is not registered (& no I don't have old rotors or pads for the front).
Unless someone knows someone with a road registered EVO I, II, or III, or Galant VR4 they could lend me for an afternoon...

Unfortunately, there's already a problem with speeding on my street, and the Excel isn't the quietest road car around.
Had thought about the WSID carpark or access road on a Wednesday night

Surely there's a quiet back road/industrial area/private driveway/large vacant carpark somewhere in your area?

Vito - already had you down for both nights, from your earlier "i'll definitely be there both nights like always" comments. Katja i've added, which puts us at 6 and 3 for each night, not including me. If i come on thursday, we're 1 person over the first apartment so was hoping there might be a straggler or two committing before i book the second one as i'm still not 100%.

The nearest industrial estate to me includes the overnight parking for the local police station. Not so good an option...

I'm more likely to be coming now. Got all my replacement rotors & pads. I need to find someone who can let me use their drill press so I can get my rear spacers made (feel free to suggest someone please). That's what stops the next step of getting the braided lines done.

Ok, so the 2nd nearest industrial estate..? Or 3rd through 6th best options? Not sure how you're hoping someone might be able to help on that one.

agree with GT - find random industrial estate, drive around for 10 mins bedding in, load up on trailer and be gone before anyone notices.

The road wakefield is on at ~1am would also be an option as well

Guys, only a week out, looks like we'll all be getting plenty of track time. Any last minute-ers for accomodation, track time??

I'm picking up rebuilt front calipers plus modified brake booster & resealed master cylinder tomorrow arvo. Hopefully, can get access to a drill press tomorrow to rebuild one of my spacers because there's a 1mm difference between the left rear & right rear of my car (who'd have thought that with a combo of Korean & Malaysian parts ), then it's ready to be dropped off to the brake shop on Saturday to get the rear braided lines redone.
So I'm looking better to come, but still no way I can say I'm a definite...

They are predicting perfect weather (same as we have had pretty much all week, sunny warm days) which would be awesome.


Not sure how much further I want to go with my car, would like new brakes but I dont really want to spend the money when mine work well enough. Going to bleed them with some quality fluid before I go though.

Go forward and build my bucket seat rail.
I have a feeling next week will be a spastic rush to get both cars ready (rotors, pads, brake fluid, gearbox and engine oil, filter change, plugs, new tyres, blah blah blah!)
