Also, i automatically get the first double bed, so we need to boost numbers above 6 each night to get the second apartment and therefore double bed. But i'm not locked down for either night just yet as i'm not sure of my movements, so you might be a chance.

1 suggestion, if we cant get reasonable number for accomodation at the pelican it should be roughly the same amount to stay at best western centre town (big rooms to accomdate 1-6 people) or the other best western.
last time i booked one like that it was around $40-50 per person plus we can go to ze pub or club for dinner/cans

Yeah it's something we've considered a few times recently - the renos to the bunkhouse at the pelican aren't bad and people tend to enjoy making use of the bonfire but if numbers are really low it's not always worth it. I've stayed in town a number of times over the years and the access to dinner options is good, just depends what people feel like doing.

Given we're only a week and a half out we don't have much time left to throw it open. We've got 5 and 3 (not including me) for each night at this point; were you considering staying friday as well?

Also, dneg/foamy, were you guys still to confirm what you were doing? I have dneg down for thursday and foamy for friday.

The Pellican is ok...bit expensive to get cabs from there to town and back though.
Then again it is easy getting to the track half pissed...
