When do you need to know by?
I'm 99% in, especially as my Wakefield licence runs out around then, so might as well get one more use out of it.

Also means I'm going to have to pull my finger out to find out what's holding my engine back (besides the oily fuel I have to use )

hahha yeah i know.. but i'd like some decent tyres for a track day sicne these current ones have been sitting for the last 6 months they're pretty average. would also like to have an oil cooler before hitting teh track aswell. once my bonus comes through i'll invest in one.

Roundy, steve, be good to have you along. If you're 100% i'll get the money off you and confirm your spots. Let me know and i'll pm you my bank details. If you're not certain yet, it's a little hard to tell when i need to know by; its basically who gets their money in gets a definate spot, so as long as we're not full i'll grab a spot for you as soon as you confirm as a definate.

Hodgo (and others), as soon as i hear definately about the timing i'll let everybody know. I'd say we will be doing it, i'm just not the one organising them, but i'll post when i hear.

Guys, there's still some spots left, the level of enthusiasm shown early in this thread ( ) is matched elsewhere, so i imagine you'll still be able to grab a spot this weekend, maybe early next week. But, can't promise.

YLD, thanks for the info, i noticed the same thing with availability worldwide, shame the aus site has ZERO info... Be good to see you down there next time, looks like a lot of people are gearing up for that one. (early august i think, but not confirmed yet)

as long as i can get the time off i am in, so will tell you later today, but won't be able to pay til probably tomorrow

now will need to get some brake pads with a decent temp rating to pre-empt my expected brake fade LOL

I'd really like to go, but the problem I'm facing is that before then, I need to get my injectors reconditioned, replace the clutch, & fit new rear wheel bearings.

Should be do-able, its just a matter of timing.

    Hodgo, pm replied.

Steve, i understand that situation mate, i'm usually in a mad rush in the days leading up to a track day!

Roundy, don't know of anyone going from canberra, but it's pretty easy to find, i'll be able to give you directions if you're coming up on your own.

We aim to be there by 8:30 to have time to sign in, have drivers' briefing, and open the track at 9:00am, so plan accordingly if you're trekking in that morning.

We'll be doing our usual of going down thursday night and coming home saturday morning. There's some cheap accomodation right next door to the track, costs about $20-25/night depending on numbers, and you need to bring sleeping bag and pillow. Everybody's more than welcome to join us if they want, for one or both nights.

I won't need to get money for it till we're down there, but if i could start to get an idea of numbers to book i'd appreciate it?

Also, if you need to get a wakefield licence thats a 'pay on the day thing' too.

Only 2 weekends left to get anything done...

At this stage, count me out, but I may still be ready in time.

To change my clutch, I'm actually going to pull the engine & gearbox out together. I did something wrong last time & I want it working properly this time.

Also, I don't know if its my injectors that are the problem with my engine. I'm still trying to figure out how to remove them. They're not like petrol injectors.

Also still trying to figure out the rear wheel bearings. Them being shagged is the only reason I can think of that I get scrapage between my brake discs & the fixed part of the calipers while cornering.

My Wakefield licence runs out on th 11/6 too, so I'd be up for an extra $40 for the weekend.

Ah, yeah, sounds like a fair bit standing between you and the track this time. See how you go, there's still a couple of spots free if you or anyone else gets organised.
