watch the heat transfer from extractors to the engine mounts, those rubber mounts will be short lived otherwise

Extractors are almost complete, just have to finish welding collectors and O2 sensor fittings and they're done. Engine is partly disassembled for cleaning, painting, and fitment of new cambelt etc. Will hopefully have engine in for good in 2-3 weeks. Fingers crossed.......
The weather is getting better so I'm itching to get it going again!

That looks like a TIGHT fit in that engine bay, that's a quality piece of engineering right there.

It looks fantastic, can't wait to see the startup video.

Here is the front section, 2.25" out of the collectors back to the cats, 3" Y piece out of the cats into the resonator.

The rear section, it's hard to see but the 3" resonator is tapered down to an oval towards the rear and the pipe coming out of it is oval shaped until just after it goes under the subframe.

The modified rear muffler. I've left one of the original pipes going into it which I may plumb in and use a flap to shut off the 3"inlet to quieten it down when cruising and at low throttle etc. I've used 3" pipe instead of 2 1/2" to alleviate any restriction that occurs in the mufflers and pipe section changes. (round to oval to round etc)

That is an EXCELLENT idea, I've always wondered about the viability of doing the same thing. Would love to see it happen, and the results.

I needed to make the headers as the standard manifolds would not clear the steering shaft on the RH side. I could have used the original manifold on the LH side with a bit of modification, however I thought I might as well make a pair! I also could have chopped an earlier steel manifold to clear the steering but it wouldn't have flowed terribly well....
