Mind you, by the end of the second lap the smoke was gone. Luckily for mankind and all involved, I kept the revs below 3500.

The track is 4.5ks long X 2 laps and it took nearly 9 minutes.
This means that we exceeded 60km/hr.
Anyway , what a perfect day and. even sitting in a celica feels fast

LOL, yeah... 60kph on average. However there were a few places we could throttle it. Last few times at this event we've been stuck behind some vintage cars and we just put-putted about the place.

So it's about time I wrote up an event report........

The Shannons Classic is a sensational day. It's definitely one of the few events that I really look forward to going to. It's really nice to go to an event and relax, chat and see such a huge variety of cool old cars. This event has everything from classic bikes to busses, euro production and sports cars, yankee muscle cars, Aussie production and custom cars and everything in between.

Toymods was represented by 11 cars, mostly celicas but Gregs crown and Chris's stout added some cool variety to our lineup.

All in all, it was a great day. The sun was shining, there was a few thousand cool cars to perv on and the general vibe of this event is awesome.

Thanks to all who attended and made it such a great day.

Despite the new racing cars, which no doubt are better performers, the old open wheelers are just so cool and sexy looking. I love them!
