i-Trader trading rep system...

Slightly off the iTrader system topic,

We must remember most members of the forums simply wont be able to acumulate the points as quickly as you would at first think. It isnt that easy to impress those that have the larger rep powers.

If someone can accumulate 30+ rep points the chances are they have been around long enough to have impressed the average user and recieved rep accordingly. If they are a wookie they wont ever get to 30+ rep.

Back onto the iTrader idea, I think it works well on SAU, but they dont have this rep system. People on this forum seem to value their rep far more than those on SAU do. Maybe we simply need to make it clear that a bad trading experience will invoke heavy -rep penalties.

i thought 30 rep was hard to get but i got 30 reps yesterday and today

It's easy to get 30 rep these days, that's why I suggested this, it's been met with mixed feelings from forum members, but the board really hasn't jumped at it.....anyway, such is a democracy, maybe I'll bring it up at the next monthly meeting...

I only wish 30 was easy to get....

i have seen old corollas go from 350 to 501 in about 2 weeks. he deserves it.

but i must say i find alot of people start interesting topics that are beneficial and dont seem to be given the rep.

i think that people are pretty tight with the rep they give out or people are forgetting the system is there.

Too true, and to that I add that a lot of newer people don't realise that they can +rep other people, even though their power is minimal or none. Some of us get gratification just from getting recognition, as well as the actual rep points

lol, Id be happy with 200+ rep points

Seriously though, I didn't do it to attract rep for myself, (although I admit I have recieved a small amount from it), its just that everyone seems to forget that the system is there until they want some rep them selves.

The moral of the story is rep unto others as you would have rep upon yourself.
