    Default Wakefield Park Track Day - Friday 22nd of June!!

    I was about to welcome you all to my first track day of the year, then remembered I was at Eastern Creek on Sunday and ran a new PB. 1:59.45, thanks for asking.

    But on to my first Wakefield Park day of the year - and first since November last year - it'll be 7 months since last time, which has to be some sort of record.

    This time around at least I'm a much more certain starter, though not sure just yet if i'll be staying at the pelican or doing the day trip. My guess is i'll probably stay one night not both.

    Now, after March's disappointing turn out i'm expecting a rush of people jamming the list?

    Below this point is standard copypasta for newbies;

    Cost is $195 per car, still awesome value for the amount of track time you get.

    We run a limited number of cars so you pay per car and can cycle as many drivers through one car as you like, it's open track all day with 12 on circuit and a one in one out basis. I currently have at least 15 spots reserved for Toymodders, and can usually grab a couple more if we fill these up quick enough.

    All the usual info, thursday and friday nights at the Pelican station next to the track, bring CAMS or valid driver's licence, helmet, neck/wrist/ankle length clothing, sleeping bag, pillow and beverages if staying (accom is about $30/night depending on numbers).

    No official timing means cheaper insurance (and therefore track time) and passengers are allowed for 'driver training purposes', but feel free to organise your own. This situation changed a couple of times last year; basically we're still fine with passengers but it's a little dependant on mood and general people's behaviour on the day. We've had no issues at all in the last few days from what i remember. If people are acting like dicks or fooling around though we're likely to get it pulled and each time it gets harder to get it back.

    Anyway, when you commit to coming, i will PM bank details to transfer to (incl for accomodation to book spots), then when i see the coin i will add you to this...

    CONFIRMED list;

    1. Me
    2. Mick
    3. Vito

    light and fat to suit a jza80

    18x9.5, 18x10.5 would be idea, but I have some room for movement. Currently thinking about buying from the states, since local prices appear to be stupid

    In at this stage, have leave approved & tyres ready just have to hope the car is done & run in by then. Regardless I'll be in for Friday night accommodation and come down for the day. It is my birthday the following week so I reckon we should have a few drinks to celebrate haha.

    Can someone please keep Matt and his booze away from me.

    PS Aim is for sub 1:10.

    Lol I do the driving before the drinking Phil so no problem with that. Easier for me to just head down Friday morning as only 1 hour 30 mins from my joint, too much of a rush on the Thursday night to get home from work and pack everything up to head down.

    Ah, drunk Rona... good times. I might have to try and stay friday night if there's going to be a repeat performance. I'll msg matt now to make sure he's coming.

    The Excel's still running.
    The advantage of having a cheap, mass produced car is having a spare one sitting around to dummy everything into

    possibly, depending on price? I've currently got vs-tx 18x9, x10 for my street tyres - I wouldn't say they're "light", but like I said, I'm a bit flexible if it means less insane dollars
