That AE71 belongs to a mate of mine. He blew the head gasket big time, its possible the thermostat was stuck. Made just over 200kw at the wheels on low boost (17psi). I think he is planning to push 20+psi once everything is sorted
1st up: Garth having a last-minute play in the JZA80. Track has dried out a lot, but some of the oil stuck around to make for a few interesting corners...

2nd up, me on a (brief) session out. Was 1st on the grid, so not that much action with other cars

So anyone else going to be doing full ground effects work on their cars...
Yeah I'm thinking full carbon body with massive diffusers & GT Wing on the roof of the dina. If that fails I'll cut the floor and build a fan car.
I plan on doing all this on the Spyder that I am setting up for the track except the fan bit . I had a business making carbon parts a few years ago so just thought I would do the car just because I can. Have the GT wing waiting in the garage and a couple of mirror doors to lay up the flat sheets for the undertray. Was going to get a lotus rear diffuser but the group buy didnt go ahead so planning to fab it up myself.
Probably should of put my post in italics, I was taking the piss.
If in doubt power out
I think everyone knew you were taking the piss - especially when you said the parts would go on your car, not under your bed.
*Said the man with a 4 year old adaptronic in his lounge room. But i do now have the loom adaptor and the COPs, so, progress.

faildub still not ready
Dunno if a certain Caldina will be ready either, so you're not alone there.
I might even see if I can borrow a better car for the day.
Yeah fuck all chance of my car being run in by then at this stage, let alone getting a day off work. Project is being deployed soon and then doing support work for 4-6 weeks.
If in doubt power out
Adub will be good to go as always
Thread for Sept track day?

+1.
Will make an appearance for September along with Dneg, this adub is pretty much good to go!
Good to hear guys, and yes, it's now only a month away! Sorry i haven't got the thread up yet, have been away for a bit then grounded with a serious dose of man flu. Back on deck now so will get the thread up asap.
As promised;

Oh also, re the eastern creek chat earlier - from what i hear things are difficult and expensive to get private days organised at the moment after the re-surface (? so i heard?) and track changes. As an example Circuit Club have arranged spots during a WTAC practice day, called the sky-high fees a 'bargain' and repeatedly referred to difficulties getting a day booked or a reasonable price. And for Circuit Club to be complaining about the cost...
Will look into it again later in the year, maybe it'll have settled down a little. But the new prices might be hear to stay, so get used to the idea of paying your bit for the new track changes if you want to give them a run.
