    Its 100% implemented in WA now.

    Hopefully it will only be a matter of time before its rolled out in every state.

    Does anyone know if this is now nation wide?

    I assume it is a good guide regardless.

    Only the technical division your local transport department can tell you that.

    Cool, now i can register the 1UZ in the ra28. Originally i think the rules were 1100kg or greater for the 4L, now, at 1050 x 4 i'm laughing.

    Guess the two turbo's will have to, erm, hide or something...

    Depends on your state.
    I know of people in QLD who have been passed with an electric heater.

    But the NCOP does state it needs the heater hoses connected

    Hmmm, this is all quite interesting.

    AE86 = 950KG
    Max displacement of replacement engine = 950 x 2.75 = 2612.5cc
    RB26DETT = 2568cc

    RB26DETT powered AE86 For the Legal Win.

    (why you'd bother putting Nissan crap into a Toyota legend I'd never know, but it's scary to think that's legal now)

    Do you know if that is for the meantime, or permanently?
    Trying to find what the engine transplant guidelines are on the NSW RTA website, but can't find them.
    Anyone got a link or something?
