Hmm last time I contacted the RTA in ACT they outright refused to answer my questions. Wish I had these when I was working on my car.

So does this mean that all the people who have been told that they cant legally fit a 1UZ to an RA23/28 (ie: NSW and QLD i think) now can?

    Orignal weight (kgs) * 4.0 = max. capacity (cc's)
At an original 1010kgs, that gives a legal 4040cc capacity (albeit with engeering approval of course).

and you'd have bugger-all chance of getting a forced 1UZ into anything now? *looks at justen*

Or are these rules only guidelines and dept. transport can still say yes/no as they please?

    i'm confused!

Yeah, my maths of 4000/2.75 came up with something a lot lardier that 1300kgs! That's not too bad I guess.

With this, is it still required now that Australia only sells Unleaded fuel? To mee it seems like a modification that is completely unecessary becasue there is only 1 type of fuel nozzle now.

    Good thread though.

Yeah, but as soon as you are over 1100kg, you go to a 3x multiplier.

    Completely pointless/useless/unnecessary yes.

But the NCOP's were written in the last 6 months.

LP went a lot longer ago than that, so I have no idea why its still there.

There is a servo at Goulburn that still sells LRP. I think they mixed up premium UL and the valve lube on site.

Well, at least they did a few months ago...
