Yeah thats what I mean Price difference maybe? They look mechanically the same, except the HKS has these funny looking pits/holes in the intake mouth of the compressor housing, aparently it is meant to sound louder and "cooler" when it comes onto boost?

Out of curiosity what is the price difference between the garrett and the HKS?

Lil update had some problems, the day after those pictures were taking the turbo blew the front and rear oil seal

So got a new turbo and then got it back on and running to discover the water pump was leaking.

Got a new water pump coming on the weekend, so will swap it over and hopefully then ill be sweet

Was the turbo new? Thats pretty dodge if it is. What would have caused that?

Yeah the turbo was new. Yeah wasnt happy at all.

They said there was "stuff" in the centre of the turbo. So dont know what that means, but I got a new one so obviously there fault.

Shit aye...so they exchanged it for ya. Good going .

Well I hope everything turns out. Let me know when you get some power figures.

My mate has been building the same sort of project for 5 years now, but you would be astounded at what his car is like. Its absolutely nuts. You live on the Gold Coast right? Send me a PM if you want to catch up and check out my mates car, or if your going to Brisbane Autosalon you might see it there if its finished

So ive been missing in action and the car has changed a lil

    Here are some pictures

Got a rail from Tokage for my drivers seat, but with me being too tall i was to close to the roof, so swapped it for a C pillar brace.

    Here it is installed.

Also installed my quick release steering wheel. Here is a short video of it in action.

Engine decided it didnt like being alive and have fubard a bearing and a slight knock knock knock can be heard. Unfortunately this was the last straw for me and this car, so its being parted out.
