Dash spot for the microtech dash looks good. I would like to do that in the future also

i have also just started fitting my 2jz into an s13, i am using a standard motor tho.

Must say you have definatley opened the wallet on this project, I also using microtech ltx12 and will be modifying engine as i gain more confidence in drifting the animal.

I jope you are doing the 4 pot brake upgrade also.

Im running dba slotted rotors on all 4 and it was over kill with the rb20 in there, so it should be fine with the more power... if not ill change it later

    Update

Well i finally got the engine mounts on thursday night. Today we attached the engine mounts to the motor and put the motor in the car.

The mounts were perfect. The engine pretty much dropped into the engine bay The custom mounts were definitely worth it.

And here is what everyone has been waiting for It looks so at home in there

The clearance off the firewall is more than the rb20 and it just looks and feels perfect lol.

Also Derek(monkey) started to rub back the car. Only did a part of the rear quarter. But it came up real nice Should have the rest of it done tomorrow

Yep people always assume the 2JZ is bigger than RB's but its actually more compact. Looks good.

    14 Front, 12 Rear

Figured that would be enough to handle the little bit of extra weight up front.

thats a fair bit...why not go for something that you would find in an RB powered ceffy or laurel like 12-8 or 10-8

youre going to have grip issues front and rear with 14 and 12

Had a mate that was running 12 - 10 in his ceffy and he said it was quite good.

I just want to counter the weight in the front as much as possible.

    Im not set on a spring rate but its either 14 - 12 or 12 - 10.

12-10 is still somewhat acceptable its just my personal opinion that you will be fighting to maintain grip at the front and rear in such a light car with 14 and 12

afterall...its not just about going sideways anymore...its about being able to accelerate hard while still maintaining good line and angle and smoke of course

thought i might post a couple of pics of my s13 conversion, your right these motors look at home in engine bay. These photos are abit old, i have to wire up microtech and it's ready to fire up pretty much. Have done this conversion over last 3 months. All work was done at home by myself. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Yours is looking good so far.
How much did the mounts sting you by the way? Curious as i have made a jig to fab mounts and sold a set recently for $100
