Supra Diff Spline Count

Does anybody know the spline count on both the A03B and B03B diffs from the JZA80 Supra?

I think one has 30, the other has 35???

Do you mean the number of splines on the stub axles that go into the diff housing, or the number of splines on the shaft going into the inner / outer CV's?

Doesn't answer your question but might come in handy... copied it down while looking for diff info a while back.

Reduction gear ratio
A01: 4.083
A02: 3.769

Note: USDM A03/B03 have a 3.133 ratio.

Crown wheel teeth
All: 49
Note: USDM B03B / A03B have 47 teeth.

Pinion teeth
A01: 12
A02: 13
A03: 15
B03: 15

No. of Torsen LSD Helical gears:

Before 1996/4
A01B / A02B / B03B: 6

After 1996/4
A01B/A02B/ A03B: 8

Finally verified so i can post. Shane what count do you need. I have a full b series conversion in the garage so ill count out what you need ? Do you need the axle into the hub count or the tailshaft count where the rear and front half join ?

Hey thanks lads...I have no idea ay...Im ordering an aftermarket LSD, and the manufacturer has asked for the spline count. One has 30 the other 35. Im guessing the A03B being smaller would have 30?

Ohhh he would me meaning the crown wheel then. Normally they ask 10 or 12 bolt. I will grab my b series out soon and have a quick count just to verify it for you.

Just ready though andys post and it states there both 47 teeth. Ill crack open the diff and see if i can work out what they mean. By 30 or 35.

I would think that info would irrelevent though as all you need is the supra lsd designed for the a series or b series lsd. When i was getting quotes for lsd's i was asked for the bolt count on the crown wheel to verify which one.

?? I assume you want a count on the B03B as well as I already physically counted and replied above on the A03B as being 30 spline ??

Yeah sorry Manny. Thanks for that. Ive got the A03B, so I am covered, but a friend has the B series. We are both ordering an ATS LSD< but they need to know this for some reason.
