    Default 4age turbo exhaust manifold

So I've got myself a gt2871r to go onto my 4agze. However I'm deciding on what way to mount it. I've read others with t28 off s15 are using what appears to be "eBay esk" manifolds. What I'm interested to know is
Are the physical size of the gt2871 and the stock silvia t28 the same size?
Also how do u know what size the flanges of the turbo are. I assume this uses t3 flanges. But please explain

    Thanks

    Fwd or rwd?
If rwd look at Rex kelways manifold through ajps.

With your turbine inlet flange; measure the bolt hole spacings length ways and up wards from the centre of the bolt hole to the other centre of the bolt hole!!!

I'm sorry I can't remember what dimensions a T3 flange is, but when you ring any turbo place with the above info, they will tell you straight away....

    compare your turbo to this:

    http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...41_1_4_new.pdf

that's for the gt2560r which is "OEM turbocharger on Nissan SR20DET engine" according to garrett's website.

With your manifold. How about looking at mounting the turbo on the left side of the engine bay, sort of above/in front of the gearbox. I have seen one done this way in Europe. What it meant is that you still had room for a radiator and gave room to run the manifold into the turbo.
I will see if I can find pic again.

I know exactly the setup you mean I don't like the way its set tho because the turbine housing will cook the gearbox aswell as coilpacks and starter motor. Plus it needs a really long manifold, then really long cooler piping with lots of bends. It's more efficient to have in front of motor. Trade off is you gotta ditch the ac!

Cook the gearbox? How about insulating the gearbox or turbo a bit
