    Default 1UZFE fitted to a 300ZX Z32

I fitted a 1UZFE to my 300ZX about 18 months ago. The car has been more of an engineering toy than a road driven vehicle but I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there who has done the same engine swap or might light some guidance on doing a similar conversion. Location SE Melb.

JZA80 options with a 1uz? Really the only option is to do it. There isn't anything else.

There is a gent in our club who fitted a 1UZ to a Mazda 929 just to be different

Clearly a very different car, but he might be able to help with questions you might have.

Well the options are vvti 2J with a GT35R or maybe a TT 1UZ. just depends on time and $$. I like different, the mazda is very well done indeed. Also good to know theres support for a uza80. If anyone has leads on a engine, or parts to get a conversion started, throw some info up.

    Thanks Guys

What is the problem? What stage is the conversion at? I've got one in an MA61, but apart from packaging, it should be a similar conversion.

Hey Mullett, My bro and I are in the very early research stages with our JZA80. Looking to build/prep a motor on the side and then once the NA 2JZ blows up, have the replacement ready to go. We've looked through the forums (nice work with your conversion too) , youtube vids and spoken to Mechanic friends of ours and "Engineering" is a big word thats thrown around frequently. Guess it'll come down to which engine becomes available first at the right price. Posted in a few forums so hopefully we can get a upgrade started one of these days.

    How'd you blow it?

I know they say that 1UZ's are pretty hard to blow, but I've killed 2 atleast, if not 3.
