Default AW11 stock oil pressure and water temp gauge

    Hi guys ,

Not sure if the question has been asked but how reliable are the stock oem gauges ? i've heard stories that they can be way out . Is this really true ? is there a way to test them and more importantly is there a way to make them more accurate , like changing the senders out for an aftermarket item

what do you guys reckon ?

Well what ive done to find out if they are accurate, i use an aftermarket guage and compare it to the one on the dash?? I dnt think u can use other senders, but Dnt know so dont take my work on that, but i just use an aftermarket guage if i think one is out...

I did the same to see if my tacho is out, so i instaled another guage and got my answer... I hope this helps... If not im sor for wasting r time..

Accurate enough to tell you thinks are working ok, oil pressure and temperature gauges are always idiot gauges in cars. They are intentionally inaccurate and vague as to not needlessly worry people, if they were highly accurate and graduated people would be pulling their hair out when they notice a slight change thinking the world is ending. If the needle is in the middle then your sweet, if the needle is in the red (temp) or drops off (oil) your fucked.
