the metal part that mounts to the block? im not to sure as the block ive got dosnt have mounts on it and its from a uzs131, and these engines are scarce now and thought cressida mounts would be easier to come by as long as there the same

Cressida's never had 1UZ's, so finding them will be hard!

What is the engine being used for?

All 1UZ mounts (Soarer, LS400, Celsior, Crown) will fit all blocks.

So unless you are trying to fit a 1UZ into a UZS131 Crown, and you don't have the mounts, then UZS131 mounts would be pretty pointless.

lol sorry for ignorance i did mean celsior not cressida.

its going in a ms65 crown.

I wanted to know if they were the same or if there (Soaror, LS400, Celsior, Crown) all different?

LS400 and Celsior are the same.
UZS141 and onwards are the same as LS400/Celsior of same year.
    UZS131 is unique.
    Soarer is unique.

But, in my opinion, you'd be better off making your own mounts to suit the conversion.
UZS131 ones *may* make it easier, but definitely won't be bolt in.

If you go to the v-eight.com sponsors section, you can buy the plans to MA61 conversion mounts, which may help

If it's going into an ms65 I'd be starting with the uzs131 mounts. They are different boths sides to give the engine the slight lean to the left to clear the steering box. Plus the left hand side exhaust tucks neatly under the upper control arm. So there is about 20mm of clearance to play with boths sides.

Do you have the Crown manifolds too? You will need them.

The best way to go is a uzs131 front cut. That will have the engine mounts and manifolds. I cut the mounts off the chasiss from the uzs131 and welded them onto the chassis of the ms83 and it bolted straight in. I used a ms123 gearbox cross member to mount the auto.

The only other way to do it is to go to a rack and pinion steering and start from scratch like GT did in his wagon.

    Cheers,
    Shane.

I've got a jig for UZS131 chassis mounts at home.
Would probably come in hella handy for you.

    Stock UZS131

Install into another engine bay through use of jig.

    And the jig

Yeah. That's the way to go. But on the ms65 you will have to cut the old 4m mounts off the chassis first. Plus if you want to run the air conditioning compressor you will need to modify the chassis at the front. If you look at Cruzida's pics you can see what I am talking about. There is a depression in the chassis just in front of the passenger side engine mount. That needs to be formed to clear the pump.

Thank for all the info guys, I bought a uzs131 engine as off this bloke but he turfed the mounts(wtf) as he wasnt going to use them, so I have the engine, trans, harnesses and headers.
As i dont have enough mecanical knowledge I will be getting someone to do the conversion for me, he was not sure if the mounts were the same through all models and suggested the same as Shane to source the chassis mounts and true crown mounts, as i am finding them hard to come by thought i would check to see if they were the same or different.
I wont be running the aircon so there shouldnt be a problem with clearance there.
I guess i am relying on other peoples knowledge and experience at the moment, so if you have any more tips on the conversion feel free to pass them on for now i will have to keep looking for these mounts.

Will attempt to remember next week when I'm home. Remind me on Saturday and I'll go digging.

Be warned that the UZS131 is the hardest ECU to wire up when you are staying auto (if you are going manual its a piece of piss).

Have a read of my UZS130 Wagon thread (see signature) and you'll see why.

    Cheers will remind you then.

Im undecided whether to go manual or auto i have a supra 5 speed and the manual ms65 pedal box aswell would just need to get dellows adapter and son on.

I eventually want to supercharge it so thought sticking with auto might be a better option not sure though.

On other hand my bro is an auto electrician thats gonna be his mission to wire it up for me with the aid of diagrams.

    thanks for advice
