    Default High Compression 2TG

Did any1 ever fit these custom BRD 13.8 : 1 pistons with long rods to a 2TG?

    Hi there,
I like your ride! Seems to have plenty of go as it is right now

Although I know all about the moar power bug biting...

Do you currently run this creature on high octane race fuel? You will certainly need to run race fuel with 13.8:1 compression! If you can run the compression it will certainly pick up the lower rpm power a bit as well as giving a bit more sting up top as well. Rule of thumb is 3.2% power increase for each point compression is raised without any other modifications.

    Good luck with it!

    Cheers,
    Jason

Yeah, ran it on avgas before(link below when twoz fitted to my RA40). Hard to get now so just run it on 98 with added octane booster! Gonna try an Elf racing fuel that's readily available at events and see what that does for it on dyno. I'll keep you up to date on it! Hopefully someone has done this piston conversion b4 and can help me out!

Wild sounding 2TG. Where are you from? Ireland? Elf make a racing AVGAS, which is available most places as do other vendors such as VP racing fuels and SunCO. Infact VP still make a 115/145 Octane rated AVGAS. VP's more well known C16 and C23 leaded automotive race fuels also are great for high comp motors (depending on class restrictions.)

Personally I use BP 100/130 AVGAS (not the low lead crap.)
