Default TA22 Brake upgrade/springs price help

I am thinking about buying a brake upgrade and performance springs/rear shocks for my TA22. Here is a run down on what is included.

    Brake Upgrade
    Ventilated MX73 Cressida rotors
Also comes with the appropriate struts needed to fit the brakes to a TA22

    Springs/shocks
Full set (front and rear) of Lovell’s coil springs which are approx 120lb/105lb for -40mm ride height. (With very little use)
brand new Monroe rear shock absorbers

The guy has told me that he will only sell it to me at a premium price. I have no idea what it is all worth and was wondering if anyone could help me on a reasonable price. Also do you believe this will work well on a ta22?

I wouldnt be forking out alot of money for Monroe shocks, basically they're crap.
Not sure which struts they would be, but no old toyota struts would be worth more than $100 a pair, including disks. A full set of springs would probably be worth anywhere between $200 and $300, if they're decent (which lovells should be) probably more like $400.
So id suggest letting him keep the Monroe shocks, and do a bit more research into the brake upgrade. Springs sound like a bood buy though, provided he doesnt want more than $400 for them.

    Cheers,
    Jim

anyone got any ideas on some good shockers that you can get for a TA22 coz nobody seems to stock them. Ive been looking for a while and the only options ive come up with are Monroe and pedders both of which dont excite me at all. This is for the front only i mean.

    Cheers

For most older cars you won't find anything decent off the shelf - instead you'll have to go through the parts catalogs and look for something else which could be adapted to fit. In the case of a TA22 I'd start looking at AE86 gear, from memory they have a pretty similar front end - and we all know there's tons of aftermarket suspension gear available for the AE86 thanks to the dorifto boys.

Not sure if they are still available new but I have a set of Koni shockers on my TA22.

they are very good, rebuildable as well as being adjustable, had them for ages without any problem.

    Cheers,
    Simon
