Thats a very very nice conversion youve got happening there.
Should be rather quick with the turbo bolted on.
Any idea how well the gearbox will take the extra power?

Gearbox will be fine, I have some mechanical sympathy and don't flatchange the C series box. Bill's held up to 240kw atw and only stripped 3rd gear once.

more stuff arrived, progress should be faster now.

Laser cutting order all done, got a heap of 2zz exhaust, T25 turbine inlet and exhaust, cluster bezel and 2jz flanges cut, also reveived another shipment from MWR with bosch 525cc injectors and a waterpump.

Made a start on the manifold runners on Friday night, then got distracted with some JZX90 fabrication over the weekend, will hopefully have the JZX90 finished by this weekend (Custom AC, Cooler mounts/pipes/exhaust) and get stuck back into the AE82...

Have recessed the runners 4mm into the flange which will make porting from oval to round easier:

And a pic of the JZX90 with Excel AC condensor and 100mm thick cooler mounted:

Sweet work, Jason. Are you going to track it or let Mark take it for a swim?

Manifold's fully welded and ported now, got a couple of tight spots finished off by Craig at Extreme Custom Engineering in Archerfield as I couldn't get my standard tig torch in to weld it properly.... next purchase will be a weldcraft WP-50 micro torch

Also made a start on the radiator, using an AE101 china radiator custom-mounted with the inlet and outlet relocated. Undecided on what thermofans I'll be using but probably a set of WRX fans with integral shrouds. I've got the radiator mounted as far forward as possible. Lower mounts still require gussets etc to be welded in

I just read the entire thread, some really nice fabrication going on there.
Im a big fan of the 2zz, should go well in this, especially with the wizzer. It sits so much further forward in the engine bay then in the celicas.
