i posted this in my thread rex when i was doing my head in with the differences with the early and late T series diff housing used in the 70's celica;
hope this helps. there is a way of identifying the difference of the diffs from the outside without having to measure the bearing size. Let me know if you'd like assistance there tooRegarding the diff, i did notice the 62mm bearing diff housing (earlier used in early TA22's) was 1224mm from housing to housing (no drums installed) and the later diff (RA23/28 and all the 80's model cars that used the T292 code on the build plate) was about 1332mm so there is a small difference there in length and maybe enough to root me with the wheel i have bought - arrg!
