I am the Team Manager and main organiser up to the event, then at the event my bro-in-law takes over the role of Manager.

I am nearly ready... need to replace a missing power steering mount bolt and am good to go.

Looking forward to it, though the weather forecast is not looking that promising for saturday...

Cracking weekend of motorsport! I reckon I said this last year, but all you blokes who have never driven Phillip Island need to rectify that asap - the place is truly awesome to drive.

No idea where our team ended up, but safe to say we were consistently inconsistent with our regularity and suffered lots of penalty laps and were therefore not a feature in the results.

Saturday practice made it really difficult to nominate a time, as most of the day was averaging from wet to very wet. Sunday was glorious weather all day and no rain at all which made for a good days running.

Terry in his Commodore hardly got a run in on Saturday as he was worrying about getting everyone organised.. so he struggled on Sunday with a nomination time that was much slower than his car turned out to be.

Jack in his ST162 Celica was the quiet achiever all weekend, no dramas and did a great job.

Peter (Terry's brother) in Terry's TA22 had a good run too and was pretty consistent all weekend.

John in the AWD turbo TX3 sadly never made Sunday, as he buzzed his engine in practice, shifting from 5th to 4th at the end of the main straight, but getting 2nd. Lots of noise and locking up and then the oil got out

Peter W was quick in the wet on Saturday in practice, and consistent on Sunday too.

My little Daihatsu was awesome again. Went hard all weekend with no complaints. Heaps of fun in the wet on Saturday and surprisingly quick through the back half of the circuit in the dry. There weren't too many cars I was out with that were faster than me through the hay shed and lukey heights.

Here is some video from the Saturday practice - cars going off every where including me, and probably the most fun I have ever had on a race track!

    Some photos to come later.

Thanks to Terry for organising our team, and thanks to his wife Sonija for keeping us fed and helping with timing all weekend. Much appreciation to them both.

It was an awesome weekend, I was really lucky on Saturday, everytime I went out in the Orange XE it was dry - YES!!!

We had a great run Sunday, although our car developed a miss under load towards the end of the day, we think the coil may have dropped the bundle.

I think we finished up in the 20's somewhere, which was disappointing, I think we nominated lap times too fast, we are all experienced 6 hour campaigners, one of our blokes broke a couple of times, one was so close he almost got black-flagged for too fast for a 1.55:1.

The best I got out of the XE was 2.01:2, but it was our fist time at the Island, so I reckon I could do better by a couple of seconds.

    Bring on next year
