If you haven't already, do a search on the old forums regarding the pug/corona/hilux upgrade, theres alot of talk on what calipers are the same as what, etc. You might find some useful info in amongst it all that could solve your problem.
can anyone inform me if there are any other variations to the 4pot caliper bolt spacing between hilux models?
so far my search has come up with ln106 being 90mm and 4 off 45.5mm pistons. mine are different!
also if there are any other significant differences on later type to the ones i have?
i have sourced some ln61 or 81 (will have to confirm which, off hilux-surf) 4 pots which have an 89mm mounting bolt spacing. the pistons are unequal size roughly 37mm/29mm and interestingly the brake master was a 13/16. the disk slot through the middle of caliper being 23.5mm. the original hilux disks were 19mm with a ruler across it. (sorry for slack measurements).. bolt spacing definately 89mm with digi calipers.
my search of old and new forum have not brought up enough info on this.
this will hopefully be used on a brake conversion consisting of ma45 strut, ae85 p/s arms, jza81 280x22mm disks and hilux caliper/ custom mounts, going into a ke70 3tgte coupe.
trying to find the closest possible 'bolt up' option without loosing the ma45 struts which are currently in the car
cheers

yes ive spent a couple hours searching the old forums and only measurements i could pull out was that you need the ln106 caliper which is 90mm bolt spacing and has 45.5 dia pistons.
as mine are different i was wandering if there are any other variations that would suit my application better
fingers crossed

differential piston sizes is actually a better thing as it reduces uneven wear across the brake pad (with same-sized piston, the leading face of the pad will wear more - resulting in a taper across the pad face).
sounds like you have same calipers as me (mine came from badly damaged 4wd lux) - the 1mm difference in the mount-bolt positions is negligible - they will mount onto XT130/ST142 struts.
fwiw, they are very heavy things compared to nissan R32 calipers.
#T142 struts have a 100mm caliper mount spacing, correct me if im wrong
hmm yeah weight not worry me too much at this stage. is just a thrash/drift/skid/drag car.
but the amount they stick out past the jzx81 disk is! only one set of wheels i own will clear argg
