They are AE101 4A-GZE pistons. Compression ratio 8.9:1, and like all GZE pistons, are forged
I have come across these pistons, but i'm not 100% sure what they are.they are meant to be 3rd series 4agze pistons.
any ideas?

awesome, just need to get some rings, and 30 psi here we come
lol what are the specs of the engine? 30psi is a lot of boost
its just a stock 20v st granade engine using a gt3076 and its all going into a ke55
you realise the flycuts on these pistons wont match up with the 20v head yeah?

yes i do but they still fit.
so much for putting these pistons straight in my 'low k good running' 20v.
nice...
Lol FARK!!
Flycuts yes to an extent, if your running nuts overlap or skip a tooth its all over as well..
still i encourage this build, i'd do the same thing if i had a blacktop head (pun intended) at my disposal.
Your AE101 GZE pistons are also ceramic coated too, so be careful when cleaning the piston tops, don't scrub them too hard.
Oh, and I think your head might need a bit of a clean. Hard to see in that photo though..........
There's a head in that photo? All I can see is a slice of burnt toast...

is it just me or does it look like the skirts are coated n the tops bare?
they are.... the skirts have a slip coating
I'm building a "Super Duty"(pardon Pontiac) 4AFE. I'm using a 20V silvertop block, crank, and rods, and have fitted 4AGZE slugs. The volume of the 4AFE slugs is slightly more(less?) than the 4AGZE slugs, and so the addition of the Z slugs bumps my 4AFE upto 10 to 1, instead of 9.5.
In fact 4AGZE piston look VERY much like the later type of 4AFE pistons.....
