New Forum Skin Now Active

As you can probably see, The Forum is now running the Revised skin.

The nuts and bolts of what you are seeing now is the new look moving forward.

There are still some tweaks that will be done over time (outstanding bugs etc..) and most likely some modification of forum locations within the new groups.

Things to note.

1. The forum groups are now collapsable, meaning you can click on the little minus sign on the right hand side of the Forum Category line. You can use this to collapse the areas of the forum you don't frequent to often.

2. Please review your settings. With the upgrade, alot of options are available to the users, these preferences need to be set. you can do this by clicking on the "Settings" button in the top right hand corner of the screen.

If you wish to note a bug in the new skin, please use the consolidated bug thread so I can keep track of them. most of the bugs listed in there have been fixed, or I'm waiting for a bug fix for them.

Now that the basic skin is up and running, I will be looking into adding bits and pieces to improve the user experience. Feel free to add any suggestions. but note the suggestions will be going through the board for approval.

The red is awful... Sorry, but this sites design is looking like a kid with AAD let loose with crayons.

The Red is the same red (Slightly darker but very close to) the same red used in the old forums. The background colours are also replicated from the old forums as best as the new software (and my experience) can.

Let's try Constructive Critisism, rather than posting something that I find rather offensive after about 40 hours work.

I like it.
Dialog on the right with new posts is great.
Completely different to the 'old' style that we got used to over the years.

Anyway, feedback;

-Toymod's Logo needs some tweaking to get rid of the edges.
-Is it possible to hide/minimise catigories under the main topics, i.e. Toyota's Wanted under Classifieds?
-Perhaps reduce the size of some items. The main header is the same size as the topics, so it looks out of scale.

Yeah sorry Simon, I muct ahve seen it just after it was first loaded and the backgrounds were still all white. It's much better now.

One thing I don't like is that it's dificult to read the number of the current page on a long thread.
It's white on the medium grey and near impossible to pick up.

It wasn't you comment that triggered my response.

I did darken the header based on your comment (similar to the origonal forum) I had it white to better mask the edges of the Logo until a better version can be sorted. Also I was working on getting the banner into the header to cover the vast whiteness and get the content up higher, but I can't get it to sit in the center correctly, I need to do some more work to that.

I'll look at the Page numbers, there are a few other randoms I've missed in the templates as well.

OK another few, User CP / profile page.

• signature links appear the same colour as the background (both standard and highlighted text) so cannot be seen
• names of general forum members in 'friends' and 'last viewed' are coloured the same colour as the background (both standard and highlighted text) and cannot be seen
• Information for 'country' is wrapped instead of being located on tike the rest of the information

I think I have sorted this.

Not sure about the Country thing?!? I'm not seeing it here.

Seems to only happen when looking at your own profile. The country is located underneath the Country text, whereas everything else is "tabbed" across.

Looking at your own profile as others would see it, or looking at someone else's profile all the information is underneath the heading instead of tabbed across.
