a hydrofan does not need any electrical signals to control it.
just wonder if thats a possibility?.. as i wanna use a hydrofan setup on my 1jz just dont know if it can be controlled with an aftermarket ecu as currently the motor has a jzz30 harness on it..

Engine conversion is when you drive a shitbox which costs a whole LEXUS to own
The hydrofan solenoid is a PWM controlled solenoid, so most aftermarket ecu's will have the hardware capable of controlling it.
Its probably more of a question if the ecu has the software capable of controlling the PWM output based on the parameters you want (coolant temp, speed, aircon pressure, etc)

is hydrofan we all discuss here means engine driven mechanical fan?
No, thats a viscous fan.
The hydrofan is the hydraulic one which is driven by a belt driven pump like the power steering pump.

'I've scrapped better.' John stated when asked about the car by the guy with the silver tipped cowboy boots!
sweet.. well thats sorted.. beautiful =)
How is the solenoid controlled? Which voltage? Polarity? PWM duty cycles?
Depends on your ECU. I have a Ford Falcon Track car, runs a MS3X ECU. Have the ECU controlling both thermos, main fan switches in at 88 degrees, secondary at 95 degrees. It's doable
