Talking Wakefield Park Track Day - Friday February 18th!!

Ok, a lot of you know the drill/post by now. Cost is now unfortunately $195 per car due to WP finally slugging us the cost increase we've dodged until now, but nothing else has changed, it's still awesome value for the amount of track time you get.

We run a limited number of cars so you pay per car and can cycle as many drivers through one car as you like, it's open track all day with 12 on circuit and a one in one out basis. I currently have at least 15 spots reserved for Toymodders, and can usually grab a couple more if we fill these up quick enough.

All the usual info, thursday and friday nights at the Pelican station next to the track, bring CAMS or valid driver's licence, helmet, neck/wrist/ankle length clothing, sleeping bag, pillow and beverages if staying (accom is about $30/night depending on numbers).

No official timing means cheaper insurance (and therefore track time) and passengers are allowed for 'driver training purposes', but feel free to organise your own. And just to confirm from last time, the few issues we had with a particular person and our 'driver training' was resolved immediately after the November day so it will be as per usual for us!

When you commit to coming, i will PM bank details to transfer to (incl for accomodation to book spots), then when i see the coin i will add you to this...

what was the "driver training" issue?

I'm going to put in for this as leave tomorrow - I've missed WAY too many.

Fingers crossed for the harness being installed by then

Wish I could make it... oil-ing issues and taking the day off only a few weeks into the new job sees me out

I'm in for sure this time.
I'm currently pulling apart the car to get the wheel bearings done, which is the only thing stopping me.

PS Anyone got advice on how to remove gummed up ABS sensors from the suspension...

my method involved removing the abs, and replacing it with a catch-can.

May or may not be recomended

If I remove the ABS, I also lose the speedo, so slight problem there.

and remove them very carefully as they are easy to break and costly to replace

Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated.
Tried the brake cleaner, but still no luck.
So I've just played on the safe side & removed the entire part with the sensors still attached.
Should be able to get them in a press without the sensors being in the way, I hope...

Justen, stocky, built, i don't care, just as long as a UZ of some description is in there and it's charging around! I'm your good luck ballast for PBs remember, and somebody needs to knock off Damo's time.

Greg, Sam (grumpy little dude) pulled the pin on passengers in the afternoon last time; sparked much outrage. All sorted though, he was reminded of arrangements and such.

Vilo, surely you want shakedown runs to find - i mean confirm there are no - issues prior to tripping out to Dubbo??

Few spots taken already so hopefully we'll have a better Toyota showing than last time!
