hilux 2.8lt dts turbo kit

i am putting a dts turbo kit into my 2.8 l hilux, .. and am stuck as to how to get the air conditioning condensor outwithout loosing the air from the lines... is the that possible, . is it a problem if i do just take them off let it out, and maybe get it regassed?.

you can;t take the condenser out without letting out the gas (its refrigerant, not air)

find a local air con place, get them to degas the system for you then take out whatever you have to (ask them how to correctly keep everything clean) then put it back together and get them to regas it.

don't just let the gas out as it is dodgy.

do you need to remove the condenser anyway? if so what for?

It is illegal to let the gas out into the atmosphere so dont get caught. Make sure you tape the ends of the pipes and fittings over to stop any moisture or dirt getting in after the gas has stopped coming out. The refrigeration mechanic will have to use a vacuum pump to suck any moisture out of the system that came from moisture in the air, before he regasses your air con and he will have to add a small amount of oil into the system as well to lubricate the pump.

my mate has this kit on his hilux too, good gain, my cherokee still leaves it for dead tho

I just unbolted it and pulled it to the side. It was just a moment of not thinking.... Its all in now, I wish I had nice new one for my four but that will have to wait till I get back.

I am about to take off around australia in it, .. see the outback and paint, solo trip. It a hi lux camper, and ive pent the last week or so getting it all kitting out and livable... it is now, but bing the 2.8l it as sluggish as fuck, .. best thing i ever brought i am guaranteeing, make the drive a whole lot less of a pull.....
