I always thought the theory behind having a classic car was so you could enjoy the sound smell and feeling
these are not things you get from a car sitting in a garage
    thats all

It shits me that late 80's cars like MR2's (of which I own 2) are going to have to wait even longer before we can put them on club plates. I know they are changing the rules to 30 years to try and stop VN Commodores and the like being put on club plates and abusing the system but it sucks for people who own slightly obscure cars from that era and only use them occasionally.

My MR2 is on club plates, because it is a genuine 7/85 model import.

...all CH plated cars should be chrome bumpers.

That is all.........*runs and hides before being flamed*

    Hi,

Painting chrome bumpers shows little respect for the car and therefore should be removed from your possession.

A few people have said that to me. I was surprised it remained unsold so long. It's not the tidiest AW11 around, but it's not bad really.

Technically you are more right than you realise.

Club Permit plates CH.XXXX ran out in 2005, so VicRoads switched to XXXXX.H. Hence only cars 25 years old or older in 2005, ie: 1980 or earlier, ever had CH.XXXX plates.
Very few cars prior to 1980 have plastic bumpers.

Both of my cars have rubber bumpers, does that count????

Stuff it, my 65, with rubber bumpers will get club plates in 5 months when the rego runs out.

The problem is that it will have to sit for another 7-10 years under the new scheme before you can put it on club plates unlike the shitbox camira that live down the road from me!

Mine hasn't had rego for 5.5 years. Got driven a bit out at my folks a little though.
That does shit me though, example camira on club reg, wish there was some sorta exception list for things like, say mr2's etc.
