Hi lads positive news is, I have put a deposit on a cosworth lsd plus springblock modification. Having been driving it around a bit more the cut is not only at the same speed. It occurs 1/2 a second after hitting fullboost (17psi) on full throttle in 2nd and 3rd gear. With 1/2 to 2/3rds throttle and it doesn't seem to cut. It's a hard cut too, bang and it's off but I can slowly accelerate past the speed so you guys were onto it. Also have speed cut defender (for 540kmh top speed runs )

So diff didn't sort the cut. Couple of lads suggested 'artificial rev limit', bmwturbo had sorted it with a circuit off the tps but another suggested swapping in a supra tt jdm ecu. Will let you all know how we go.

There's pretty much only two conditions that will trigger fuel cut:
    1) exceeding maximum allowed MAP reading.
    2) exceeding RPM.

You'll know if you're triggering limp mode if you have error codes.

Error codes will _not_ be "logged" if you hit one of the above 2 limits.

u only need one of the rear speed sensor working for it to work right
if u can rev out 1st gear ok say up to 5 or 6 grand then it changes into 3rd straight away
then u have issue with your auto or yr ecu
i just repaired an ecu that was on a jz motor in an early crown which had auto stuck in limp mode
replaced capacitors and fixed the problem

one thing is can u confirm its going into 3rd or might it be over drive
can u press overdrive button so gbox goes from 3rd to 4th and back from 4th to 3rd

as u might have an issue with solenoid 2 in the gearbox or wiring for solenoid 2 from ecu or even ecu issue
if u have a faulty solenoid 2 issue then this will make yr car drive from 1st then change directly into overdrive
and since 3rd and 4th are close ratios sometiems u dont know which gears its selected

u need to hook up 2 test lights
    one to sol 1 wire
    one to sol 2 wire
now go roadtest and look at test lights
1st will bring one light one
2nd gear will bring on both lights
3rd will bring on one light the opposite to which one came on for 1st gear
now if testlights work ok then problem is after where u connected test lights
so either wirring near box or inside box

if testlights dont work correctly then its ecu or wiring between ecu and testlights

its not to hard to do if u know how
i just hook up 2 wires and go for test drive and i control gbox myself rather than ecu and this tells me if its ecu or gbox problem

Thanks for all the help lads.

'Artificial rev limiter' seems to have been my problem and after finding a tt supra auto ecu and swapping it in, it has eradicated the annoying cuts!

Got her on the dyno too and ran up 341hp on 17psi.

Finally enjoying driving it now, thanks for assistance to date from you guys.

what rpm does it cut at
cant be too low as ive never had a complain about it from customers 1j conversions

maybe one day ill work on a car that has it so i can work a way around it

Happy to bring it down and swap old ecu in if you're really keen! It was about .5 second after hitting full boost but only in 2nd or 3rd gear., second gear about-5500rpm, 3rd gear earlier.
