Default Where / What to get: 7MGTE pistons???

I've been searching around for options and info regarding pistons on my current 7M build.
Details of previous questions are here: http://www.toymods.net/forums/showth...uild+questions
But the short of it is, up to about 300 RWHP, at sensible boost levels, keeping it as tractable as possible.
As I will be boring the block, new pistons will be in order. Now, Forged pistons whether they be JE, CP, ARIES, or WISECO are all around the $1300 mark give or take ( unless you know something I don't? ). I gave toyota a ring to check how much stock ones are worth, and they have told me that there is none in the country, and that they are worth $150 each to get from overseas. ( so $900 for set ).
I'm still waiting on a call back from MAHLE regarding whether they make them overseas as they don't have any here, and some of the local 'custom' piston places are saying around the $1600 - $1800 mark in whatever oversize and CR I want.
Now I have heard of people talking about Hypereutectic ( hypertech brand ) pistons being a good compromise and cheap, but after days of searching, all I can find is V8 boys mentioning them, but can't find any details of a manufacturer, or an agent who actually sells them.
Does anyone have any info or words of wisdom for me???
    Thanks in advance.

I got a quote for a full set of 7MGTE stock pistons for $250 and theyre in the country. This was from my uncle so maybe a little more seeing as that was cost price, but he can get all kinds of things in.

Star Performance, 02 9747 2200 give him a call and im sure he can get some prices for you.

i sold my pistons and rods for $60 i think...

    good nick too.

only thing i can suggest is, if your going aftermarket, look to companies form the states, the Americans seem to play around with the 7M's alot more than japs do.

I got a set of EnduroTech pistons for my 7M. Not sure how much they were but they're stocko replacements afaik.
    Won't be too expensive.
